From here proceed towards Urbino, a town that is the pride of Italian Renaissance and the birthplace of architect Bramante and the renowned artist Raffaello. Its Palazzo Ducale, the jewel of Italian Renaissance, has been the home of the National Gallery of Le Marche region since 1912. Urbino also hosts the Academy of Raffaello, countless churches of significant importance, as well as the Fortress of Albornoz.

But first, enjoy the absolutely amazing views of the panoramic street that crosses the Natural Park of Mount San Bartolo. After a delicious, traditional lunch in Gradara, you will go back to Fano, where we suggest you to take a guided tour of this so historically rich town, where you will also have the chance to taste the famous “Moretta Fanese”, a typical alcoholic coffee drink, while listening to the legend of how the fishermen of the port of Fano invented it.

Located on top of a hill with views of the Adriatic sea and Apennines, the medieval town of Mondavio is still surrounded by its ancient town walls and defended by a mighty fortress designed by architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini. Today, the fortress houses the Museum of historical re-enactment and armoury, with mannikins with costumes and weapons ranging from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century.A fleet of “war machines” with faithful reconstructions in actual sizes is in display inside the moat of the fortress. The fortress is the symbol of the town, but here you will also visit the historical workshop where the pecorino cheese is produced inside a tuff cave. In the afternoon you will stop at a local winery where an expert will show you the family company, followed by a wine and local extravirgin olive oil tasting. In this area a wine production is D.O.C.
